Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the use of the KIDO platform by course providers (schools).

§ 1 Scope

KIDO provides a SaaS platform through which schools can manage their courses and receive booking requests. These terms apply to all contractual relationships between KIDO and the schools.

§ 2 Registration & account

Registration is only possible for persons of legal age with commercial activity in Germany. Truthful information must be provided. The account is not transferable.

§ 3 Fees

During the trial period (14 days) the service is free. Thereafter the applicable subscription model applies. Payment fees via Stripe Connect are charged directly by Stripe.

§ 4 Duration & termination

The contract runs monthly. Either party may terminate at month-end at any time. Account deletion is available under Settings → Delete account.

§ 5 Liability

KIDO is fully liable for intent and gross negligence and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence KIDO is liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties) whose fulfilment is required for the proper execution of the contract and on whose observance the contractual partner may regularly rely. In such cases liability is limited to typical, foreseeable contractual damages. Liability for lost profits is excluded to the extent permitted by law. KIDO operates purely as an intermediary platform — contracts for course services are concluded directly between the school and the parents; KIDO assumes no liability for the delivery of the course by the school.

§ 6 Place of jurisdiction & applicable law

German law applies exclusively, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising out of or in connection with this contract is Frankfurt am Main, provided the contractual partner is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law.

§ 7 Right of withdrawal

As KIDO contracts exclusively with commercially active schools, no consumer right of withdrawal under §§ 312g, 355 BGB applies. For parents as end users of the platform: contracts for course enrolments are concluded directly with the respective school — withdrawal and refund provisions are governed by the terms of the respective school.

§ 8 Severability

Should individual provisions of these terms be or become wholly or partially invalid or unenforceable, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The invalid provision shall be replaced by the legally permissible provision that comes closest to the purpose pursued by the invalid provision.

§ 9 Ranking & paid placements (P2B Regulation)

The catalog's default sorting ("relevance") essentially weighs: (1) the number of booking requests in the last 30 days, (2) the school's verification status, and (3) the recency of the course listing. Schools may purchase additional placements above the organic results (ad slots with traffic rotation between all buyers of a slot). Paid placements are clearly labelled "Anzeige" for users and do not alter the organic order. Prices and conditions: see "For schools" or on request.
